Auto Collision Repair and Automotive Service Technology Department

Welcome to the Automotive Service Technology and Auto Collision Repair Department of Red Rocks Community College. Both of these programs exist in cooperation with WarrenTech, an extension of Jefferson County high schools offering career and technical training in 21 programs that prepare students to enter the job market or continue their education at post-secondary institutions. Automotive courses are taught by WarrenTech instructors at the WarrenTech Auto Shop, 13300 W. 2nd Place, Lakewood. Degrees and certificates are issued through Red Rocks. Red Rocks is proud of our partnership with WarrenTech and the Jefferson County School District.

Auto Collision Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree and Six NATEF Certificates

This is a National Certified Auto Collision Repair program that prepares you for a career in the auto collision industry. You can also earn the necessary credits to obtain an associate of applied science degree. A minimum of 46 ACT credits and 15 credits of general education are required for the AAS degree. Some of the courses may transfer toward a bachelor's degree in automotive management.

Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree and Certificates

This program is a nationally certified automotive repair program (NATEF), taught by ASE Certified Master Technicians, providing you with entry-level skills in the automotive industry or upgrading your skills if you are already in the field. You may begin at several designated starting times during the year; therefore, you may complete some of the courses, enter the workforce, then return to complete requirements for the associate of applied science degree, a certificate or to upgrade specific skills. Demonstrated mastery of skills is required.

Enrollment Information
In order to begin the enrollment process, students must first be accepted by WarrenTech. A WarrenTech application and Accuplacer test results must be submitted to the WarrenTech counseling office.
