Katey Parsons is a Licensed Professional Counselor contracted with Red Rocks Community College through Jefferson Center for Mental Health.   She has been licensed in the state of Colorado for over 5 years and was previously licensed in Missouri where she earned her Master of Education degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Katey has worked in a number of settings including schools, non-profit agencies, and private practice and has always enjoyed participating in educational and mental health outreach activities.  She is very excited to be a part of the RRCC Student Health Center staff working collaboratively to provide quality healthcare services to the students.

Micah is a Registered Psychotherapist working as an extern with Jefferson Center for Mental Health. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2014, and is currently working toward licensure through several part-time placements; including a Crisis Stabilization Unit with Community Reach Center, and serving survivors of abuse with WINGS Foundation. Prior to becoming a therapist she enjoyed working with young adults and youth in wilderness programs across the country, and is thrilled to continue working with students through this opportunity at Red Rocks Community College.

Mary is a proud military family member. Her partner is a Marine and her brother a Soldier whom she saw through two deployments to Iraq. She spent time living in the Fort Hood Army community in Killeen, Texas and has devoted her life and work to the military community. She specializes in working with active-duty military, veterans, and their loved ones addressing integration and adjustment, depression, anxiety, anger/rage, Post-Traumatic Stress, Military Sexual Trauma, and other areas of growth. She earned her MA in Counseling at Naropa University (2013) with a concentration in Wilderness Therapy.  Mary offers on and off-campus support and services for RRCC student veterans or loved ones of veterans, which include confidential, individual counseling in areas such as: Life after the military: planning your next steps; Balancing school, work, social, and family life; Managing anxiety and stress; Relating in the civilian world; Accessing new tools for success; and Connection to community resources and events.

*Mary is available to meet off campus with students that cannot make Thursday campus office hours.

Stacy Hart, MA, is the Jefferson Center for Mental Health Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician located within The Children’s Center at RRCC. Stacy is on site a two days a week to consult with teachers and work with children and families involved in The Children’s Center.  Stacy consults with teachers as a way to promote healthier social and emotional development in the classroom and can also work one-on-one with individual children at the request of parents.  Stacy leads parenting groups and trainings on campus as well as expedites referrals for the JCMH Early Intervention Specialist Team for in-home therapy. Stacy initially felt a calling to work alongside children and their families while working in an elementary school setting.  She remembers and relates to the challenges of growing up and of parenthood and is delighted to be part of JCMHs early intervention team.  She is looking forward to the opportunities to work with the wonderful children, parents, and caregivers of The Children’s Center of Red Rocks Community College.
