What is your title?
Social Program Coordinator
What kind of work do you do?
I plan social events for autistic college students at EMU. We meet a few times a month to play card games, attend movies, and go out into the community together.
Do you like your job?
I love it! I love that I get to make a meaningful difference in the students’ lives and provide a fun and safe space for the students to socialize.
Did school prepare you for this?
Yes, absolutely.
Do you plan on staying in this career, or moving on to other things in the future?
I plan to apply for a school psychology PHD after finishing my Master’s degree in clinical psychology at Eastern to continue working with autistic students in a school setting.
Any other fun things you want to include about yourself and your career!
I graduated with my BA in biopsychology cognition and neuroscience from the university of Michigan after transferring from RRCC, and now am a master’s student in clinical psychology at EMU. I am very grateful to RRCC for preparing me to be successful in college and graduate school.
