Julie is a native of Colorado who originally studied mathematics at the University of Northern Colorado to become a high school math teacher. She was drawn into the Red Rocks community to teach Computer Science courses and has grown to love this field. She currently teaches C++, Java, C#, and .NET programming courses. She has created a partnership between Sun and Microsoft technologies. Julie is colorblind and was born with two teeth so she fits right in with the computer science crowd. 303.914.6247 |

With more than 20 years of experience as a business and computer instructor, Peggy specializes in business technology and Microsoft Office applications courses. Christie has an extensive background in business administration. As the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, she developed, implemented and supported an integrated electronic business system. She is a MCT, MCSE on Windows 2003 and MCDBA. Christie coordinates the MS IT Academy Program and teaches the MCSE and MCDBA certification courses. Christie is particularly enjoys database design and administration. 303.914.6249 |

Candace's 37 years of experience in business/industry and academia include systems analysis, multimedia software development, Internet/Web development, and program design/development. At Red Rocks she teaches a variety of classes including: Gaming, JavaScript, Systems Analysis and Design, Introduction to Programming, Dreamweaver, Web Design and Concepts, Capstone, and PC Applications. 303.914.6445 |
Dave Kriznar![]() |
Dave has been an instructor at Red Rocks since 1987, having taught in the electronics department before joining the Computer Technology Department in 2000. He teaches Cisco, networking, and A+ classes and has certifications in electronics, robotics, CCNA, CCAI, and A+. Dave’s personal interests include creating art work in leather, steal, and wood. Also, he's known as the "Candy Man" to a group of daycare kids from the Red Rocks Children’s Center. Dave keeps the children supplied with quarters for the candy machines bringing smiles to their little faces. 303.914.6230 |
Eileen O'Dowd |
Anyone who has been around the Red Rocks Computer Technology Department recognizes the face of Eileen O’Dowd, having been both a part time, full time, and now, adjunct instructor since 1996. This “New Yawker” is a graduate of Red Rocks and has a BS degree in Computer Information Systems from Colorado Christian University. Formerly in her own Real Estate business for 19 years, Eileen holds the Department record with an equal number of Grand Children – 19! You will find her teaching mostly introductory computer classes because, as she says “I enjoy meeting and helping people to achieve the skills used to operate a computer.” 303.914.6245 |
Mary Jo Turner![]() |
A continual adjunct instructor since 1998, the many hours spent on campus every week make Mary Jo one of the most recognized people in the Department. She is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, and assists both faculty and students in Web design, HTML, Web site maintenance, and sometimes even in counted cross-stitch. She currently teaches our HTML course and substitutes occasionally for other instructors. 303.914.6250 |

CNG 121-040: Computer Support Technician I: A+
Class runs: 8/25/09-10/13/09
T/R 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This class prepares students for an entry level help desk or support technician.
CNG 122-040: Computer Support Technician II: A+
Class runs: 10/15/09-12/10/09
T/R 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This class prepares students for the Comptia A+ certification exams.
CNG 131-470: Network Security Fundamentals
Online
This class introduces students to the basics of network security. The course compliments Net+, A+ and MSCA skills. It prepares the students for the Comptia Security + exam
