RRCC Computer Technology program is offering
Microsoft Official Distant Learning Courses (MODL)

LaptopThis fall, RRCC Computer Technology will offer two MODL courses.  CNG 212: Manage a MS Server Environment and CIS 252:  Implementing and Managing MS SQL Server 2005. CNG 212 is part of the MCSA and MCSE certification program.  CIS 252 is a part of the MCDBA certification program.

Using Live Meeting technology, students will meet twice a week with the instructor via internet and telephone.  During each session students will participate in lecture, discussions, assessments and labs.

MODL offers a dynamic alternative to traditional classroom learning that adapts to time and budgetary constraints. Learning effectiveness is not sacrificed. Instead, it is increased. MODL is a truly blended learning experience where highly interactive, live synchronous meetings are facilitated by certified instructors. At the same time, self-paced study and role-based, hands-on lab scenarios augment the virtual classroom. Assessment checkpoints ensure that students are keeping up with and learning the material.

Red Rocks Community College is the first Community College to pilot the new MODL products.  For more information, contact Christie Burton, Faculty Computer Technology, 303-914-6249 or email at christie.burton@rrcc.edu.
