College Connections
Did you know you don’t need a GED to attend Red Rocks Community College?
College Connections is a transition program for students who do not have a high school diploma, GED or need to take two or more college prep classes to succeed in college.
There are 10 possible college prep classes a student might need to take:
MAT 030 REA 030 ENG 030
MAT 060 REA 060 ENG 060
MAT 090 REA 090 ENG 090
MAT 099
If you needed to take all 10 classes is would cost you over $3300.00 (for Colorado residents) and over a year to complete. In the 8 week College Connections program you will receive help with:
- Navigating the college
- Admission, registration, applying for financial aid and scholarships
- Receive fast track Math, reading and English instruction
- Tutoring
- Reduce the number of College Prep Classes
- Save dollars (possibly $3000.00) in tuition and fees
- Reduce the number of semesters needed
- Tools for succeeding in college
- Identify your learning style
- Develop needed study skills
- Learn to manage your time
- Develop critical thinking skills
- Transition to a RRCC certificate or degree program
