Julie Brackney is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified
Addictions Counselor (CACIII). With over 20 years of counseling experience,
Julie has most recently served as Deputy Director at The Council on Substance
Abuse and Mental Health in Denver. She has worked at Jefferson County
Department of Health & Environment as an Outpatient Counselor in the
Substance Abuse Counseling Program and has worked as a Community Counselor in
the FAS-PACE program. In that role, she provided brief interventions to women
regarding making healthy choices related to relationships and binge
drinking.
As an employee of the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, Julie will be on
campus for 20–24 hours per week, providing short-term counseling (a
maximum of 4–6 sessions) for our students at no cost.
