Associate of Arts Early Childhood Education Transfer Degree
General Information:
- This articulated degree is pending final approval and is designed for those students wishing to transfer into an early childhood program at a public four-year college in Colorado. Talk to the ECE advisor at RRCC during your first semester for best transferability.
- ALL degree-seeking students must take the Accuplacer test prior to registration. Please contact Assessment Center for more information.
- It is vital that you contact the institution of intended transfer early in your program of study.
- You MUST apply for graduation at http://www.rrcc.edu/admis/gradap.html or at the admissions office by the beginning of your final semester.
This program prepares you to work as a professional in a
variety of capacities in early childhood education. If you
complete the degree requirements, you will have met the
requirements for both preschool group leader and director
certificates.

IMPORTANT TRANSFER INFORMATION
A Colorado Community College student who is planning to become an early childhood educator should sign a program plan with the ECE advisor that identifies the first 54 hours that are guaranteed to transfer to all ECE teacher education programs at the following Colorado public four-year colleges (see courses listed above): Adams State College, Colorado State University (Human Development), Fort Lewis College, Mesa State College, Metropolitan State College of Denver (Human Development), University of Northern Colorado (Interdisciplinary Studies).
To complete the AA graduation requirements, students should consult with their transfer institution to be advised on the final 6 credits guaranteed to transfer.
