EMT - Basic Refresher
Thank you for inquiring about the Emergency Medical Technician – Basic Refresher program at Red Rocks Community College. The program is based on the Colorado approved DOT EMT-Basic Refresher Curriculum. It includes 24 hours of didactic instruction (which meets the core requirement for NREMT) and 16 hours of skills instruction (which may be counted as elective hours for NREMT). It includes skills testing to meet the requirements for Colorado and NREMT, and includes everything that is needed for Colorado Recertification.

Application Process
All students interested in attending the EMT-Basic Refresher Course at Red
Rocks Community College can enroll themselves online.
The following information must be brought to the first day of
class:
One of the following:
- Colorado State EMT-Basic Certificate current or less than 6 months
expired by the end of the class, OR
- NREMT EMT-Basic Certificate current or less than 2 years expired by the
end of the class, OR
- proof of EMT-Basic course completion within the last 2 years.
