I won't update this link throughout the semester. In class you will be given a different link which contains all the school hand-outs and stuff.
Note the the syllabus and outline are subject to change - and to be totally honest I hope I do change it because if not, I am not paying attention to what you need.
- Syllabus - Rand's syllabus, but the other syllabi shoudl be similiar
- Outline - Contains, what I think will be our schedule for the semester. Much of this will change during the semester. The general idea is:
- Week 1-3: as light as we can on the demo's and discussions in order to get you into the heart of woodworking, which is the doing (sometimes redoing), thinking, and seeing. I would estimate that it is about 70% you doing, and only 30% me talking about you doing.
- Week 4-7: A little heaverier on the talking and demo's. Most of the stuff we do will make more sense because you have already had a chance to work so of this stuff out for yourself in a more 1-on-1 basis with either myself or one of our TA's
- Week 8-12: Again will go light on demo's and stuff so that you can focus on your final project.
- Week 12-15: About 50/50 between demo's and shop time.
- SYNATE: Things You Need At The End: If nothing else this gives you a good idea of what I expect from you by the end of the semester.
