Decorative Veneer Workshop

The class is to introduce the student to the storing, handling, cutting, taping, and vacuum pressing of raw commercial veneers. A 16” square panel project was chosen because it is a relatively simple project that requires the cutting and taping of real veneers. This project will focus on four way book matching, diamond patterns, and other decorative veneer techniques. These other techniques will include such things as a frisage border, which is made with mitered quarter sawn veneers.

$40 in Materials covers a selection of veneers + substrate

Instructor: Rich Gady
