When I first started at the college, I think this is the class I fantasized about being able to teach. A couple things had to happen before I could even consider teaching the class.

First our collection of quality handtools was pretty sad. Over the past four years, I have increased my personal collection of quality handtools, along with increasing the collection of tools owned by the school. While I'm not quite where I want to be, thanks to many contributions from generous individuals (fots), we are pretty close.

The other thing that had to change before I could teach this class, was the mind-set of the students. This class is not about the finished project, but about the journey.
