Red Rocks Community College Foundation Community Collaborations and Publications
In support of Red Rocks Community College, the Foundation regularly collaborates with individuals and organizations to pursue mutually beneficial opportunities and address common challenges. Groups such as the Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth (AWRSAY), who exist to provide recognition and financial assistance to Arvada and Wheat Ridge middle and high school students who have overcome adversity, is an example of an on-going partnership. Selected graduating seniors receive scholarships to attend Red Rocks Community College and the RRCC Foundation provides the all-volunteer organization with administrative support and serves as its fiscal agent. A partnership with the RRCC Physician Assistant Program, Colorado Counties Incorporated, Colorado Municipal League and Special Districts Association was recently formed to address the urgent need to expand access to healthcare for our rural communities. The collaboration grew in 2012 to include the Colorado Health Foundation through a two-year $300,000 grant to expand Physician Assistant training opportunities in Colorado’s rural communities.
If your company or organization would like to explore the possibility of partnering on a project or initiative please contact Executive Director, Ron Slinger at 303-914-6417 or by email ron.slinger@rrcc.edu.
