Red Rocks Community College FoundationEmergency Loans

There are times when emergency situations can threaten a student's ability to continue his or her education. The Emergency Loan Fund was developed to assist RRCC students in overcoming such unforeseen emergencies to avoid educational interruptions.  The maximum loan amount is $250 per student, per semester.

The Emergency Loan Fund, initially provided by a private donor, replenishes itself by student repayment of loans. As a result loans must be repaid within a year of receipt in order to have funds available for future student assistance. Payments are made directly to the Foundation office.

To be eligible to request funds from RRCC Emergency Loan Fund, you must:

  • Not be eligible for federal or state financial aid;
  • Not have any outstanding loans with the Foundation;
  • Be currently enrolled at RRCC and in good standing as a student;
  • Have a specific need that, without assistance, will disrupt your education;
  • Completely fill out and sign an Emergency Loan Application.

Emergency Loan Fund Applications are available for download in PDF format, at the Foundation office (room 1133), or they can be requested by phone at 303.914.6308.

Please Note: Any loan outstanding after one year will be turned over to collections at which time the student will be responsible for all legal and financial penalties.
