Red Rocks Community College Foundation Scholarship Program

About the RRCC Foundation Scholarship Program

The Red Rocks Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to supporting Red Rocks Community College in its commitment to students, learning, and excellence. Since 1993, the Foundation Scholarship Program has aided over 2,700 students realize their dreams of going to college. The RRCC Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships based on both need and merit. An applicant’s grades, academic and professional goals, financial need, community service, and special circumstances are all evaluated in the awarding process.

How to Apply

Application periods are each spring semester. Please email scholarships@rrcc.edu to join our email list for the next application period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I submitted an application for the 2014-2015 scholarships. When will they let me know if I got one?

A: By August 1, 2014, give or take a few days depending on how far away you live because we send notifications by post mail.

Q: How much are the scholarships?

A: Most awards are $1,500.00, some are more and some are less.

Q: Will my scholarship change my financial aid?

A: Sometimes, and only for a few students. The answer will depend on your personal financial aid package. Please contact the RRCC Financial Aid Department for more information.

Q: My friend got a scholarship and I didn’t. How come?

A: Unfortunately, not all applicants are awarded. We encourage you to discuss additional financial aid opportunities with the RRCC Financial Aid Department.
