Red Rocks Community College credit at your high school
You may be able to earn college credit in your high school classroom! For FREE!
Some Academic and Career based Jefferson County and Warren Tech high school classes are approved to offer Red Rocks Community College credit that is taught in the high school classroom. The credit earned is for dual enrollment- college credit and high school credit towards high school graduation.
If the course is successfully completed with a grade of C or better the school district will pay the tuition.
Meet with your high school counselor to see what classes at your high school are eligible for RRCC college credit. If you are enrolled in an eligible class, when it is time to register, your high school teacher will provide you with additional information.
Assessment Skill and Abilities Requirements:
Red Rocks Community College requires all students registering for any college level class to participate in the assessment of skills abilities.
This assessment can be accomplished by either taking the Free Accuplacer placement exam at Red Rocks Community College or by presenting acceptable ACT/SAT scores.

The Accuplacer Placement Exam
- The free Accuplacer assessment test is offered on a walk-in basis. The test covers Math, English and Reading. The test takes approximately 90 minutes. Click Here for Testing Center hours.
- Students are required to complete the free Red Rocks Community college Application and obtain a Student ID number before testing.
- Students must also have a valid Colorado Driver’s License, Colorado State ID issued by MVD or current student ID on the day of testing.

Registering for Red Rocks College Credit
High School Registration Sessions will be held at Red Rocks Community College on the following dates:
Wednesday, January 11, 2012 3:30-6:30
Thursday, January 12, 2012 5:00-8:00
Saturday, January 14, 2012 9:00-12:00
Before attending a Registration Session, student must first complete a free Red Rocks Community College Application and free College opportunity Fund Application. Click here to complete the RRCC application.
- Testing must be completed before you can register. If you will be submitting ACT or SAT scores, please be sure to bring them with you to a Registration Session.
- Registration Sessions are drop-in and take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
- Student MUST attend a Registration Session to turn in required paperwork and register.
