The Red Rocks Intensive English Program
offers five 8-week sessions during fall, spring, and summer
semesters each year. Each session consists of 20 hours of
study, focused on Grammar, Writing, Reading, and Communication
skills.
English as a Second Language INTENSIVE
ENGLISH PROGRAM
This program is for you if:
- You would like to raise your skills in
order to study for an academic degree in the U.S.
- You want to improve your professional
qualifications in the international market
- You are living in the U.S. on a working
visa or an exchange visa and would like to improve your
English skills
- You are a resident and need English to
advance in your career

Program Features
- 160 hours of multi-level intensive English
in 8-week sessions
- Daily tutoring with teachers available
for 3-1/2 hours at no additional cost
- Creative, enthusiastic teachers with international experience
- Class size 10-15 students
- Language laboratory fully equipped with
interactive CD-ROMs, videos, books, and audio cassettes
- Full access to college facilities, including
computer labs, and participation in college organizations and activities

Group Activities/ExcursionsEach session,
the program includes excursions to local areas of cultural
interest. In addition, college-sponsored events such as
international potlucks, culture festivals, and ski trips offer
opportunities to meet other international and American college
students.
Certificates Awarded
At the end of each session, the International
Education Office will award a certificate to each student who
has successfully completed the program. A celebration is held
at that time to congratulate all students. |

I-20 Available
International students who wish to apply for a
student visa in order to study at Red Rocks Community College
may do so by submitting financial documents with their
application forms. Upon successful application, you will receive an
"I-20" (Certificate of Eligibility for a Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student
Status), which you which you may then use to apply for a student
visa (F-1) at a local U.S. embassy or consulate. For more information,

Options for the Future
The college advising staff is always available to ESL
students to discuss further education opportunities at RRCC or at other
colleges or universities. We can also explain how you can transfer in
credit from a university outside the United States.
Homestays/Housing
We can assist you in finding accommodations
with families who have been carefully screened by our office.
The average homestay cost is $500/month, including two meals a day.
Apartments within walking or bus distance are also available for
approximately $350+ per month with a roommate or $600+ per month
