 AccessScience. The McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, yearbooks, Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms, science biographies, news stories from Science News, and selected Web resources. |
| Britannica Online. The complete Encyclopaedia Britannica and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus. Also includes the Britannica Elementary, Student, and Concise Encyclopaedias. |
| CQ Researcher Online. Each CQ Researcher issue offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues, with regular reports on topics in health, international affairs, education, the environment, technology and the U.S. economy. |
| CQ Weekly Online. Comprehensive reporting and analysis on controversial national issues in the news addressed in a balanced, unbiased manner, including the status of bills in play, behind-the-scenes maneuvering, debates, and all roll-call votes. |
| EBSCOHost. Multiple databases containing full text articles from several thousand scholarly publications and general periodicals plus articles from many newspapers, press releases, and an online encyclopedia. |
| ELibrary. Over 7 million newspaper, magazine, and journal articles, book sections, transcripts of radio and TV news and interview programs, and other documents. Also contains several reference books. |

| Gale Virtual Reference. Includes Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, and several online encyclopedias in the Gale Virtual Reference Library. |
| JSTOR is an archive of scholarly journals in multiple disciplines covering a wide variety of topics. Articles are presented in easily downloaded pdf format. All articles found in JSTOR are scholarly/peer reviewed. |
| NetLibrary. A collection of 14,500 online ebooks. Click on Create a Free Account to choose your own Red Rocks NetLibrary username and password necessary for checking out ebooks. |
| Oxford English Dictionary (OED). The premier dictionary of the English language listing over half a million words giving meanings, pronunciation, and historical examples of word usage through 2.5 million quotations. |
| Oxford Reference Online (ORO). Over 140 dictionaries, Oxford Companions, and other reference titles in a variety of subject areas from Oxford University Press. |
| ProQuest Newspapers. Two national newspapers -- New York Times and Wall Street Journal -- plus several mountain regional newspapers including Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. |

| I'm a student. What if I don't know my student number? |
| Your student number appears on your class schedule and on your student web site which can be accessed using your social security number. |
| I'm a staff member. What if I don't have a library card or can't find it? |
| If you don't have a library card, come to the library and get one; all Red Rocks staff are eligible to receive one. If you have a library card but can't find it, call the library (303.914.6740). |
| What if I can't connect from off campus using the above method? |
| Make sure you are entering your correct number and name as described above. Letters in student numbers, in faculty/staff library card numbers and in last names are not case sensitive. |
| If you are entering your number and name correctly and still cannot connect, go to the Off Campus Access page to access the subscription services from off campus. To view this page you will need a username and password available from the library (303.914.6740, library@rrcc.edu). |
| If you cannot connect to the service using either of the two methods described above, temporarily disable any firewall(s) you are using and set your browser's security and privacy settings to Low. There is nothing in the Red Rocks library databases that will harm your computer. |
| If you still cannot connect to the service contact the library (303.914.6740, library@rrcc.edu) to report the problem. If the library is closed and you cannot connect, try again in a few hours - it's possible the off campus connection service or the subscription service is temporarily unavailable. |
| What if I can't connect from on campus? |
| Contact the library (Ext. 6740) to report the problem. If the library is closed and you cannot connect try accessing the services again in a few hours - it's possible the subscription service was temporarily unavailable but has been restored. |
