RRCC to Host Cultural Intelligence Conference on April 11 LAKEWOOD, CO – The community is invited to an Exploring Diversity in Education Conference on April 11, hosted by Red Rocks Community College’s Lakewood Campus, 13300 W. Sixth Ave. The conference will include a continental breakfast and lunch and workshops on diversity with a focus on this year’s theme, “Retaining Diverse Students, Staff and Faculty.” Paul Gorski, assistant professor of education at Hamline University and founder of EdChange, will be the keynote speaker. EdChange provides training and activities for educators on educational equity and social justice. His newest project is Social Justice News Online (www.socialjusticenews.net), a web-based compendium of news articles from around the world related to social and environmental justice, human rights and activism. The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Community Room at the Lakewood Red Rocks Campus, 13300 W.
