Join RRCC to Celebrate Earth Day- All Week Long
Activities Aim to Educate and Entertain

LAKEWOOD, CO – Red Rocks Community College is celebrating Earth Day with a week of activities Monday April 18 through Friday April 22. The festivities at the Lakewood campus will include recycling, a vendor fair, healthy snacks, and other fun and educational activities to expand our community’s knowledge on preserving the environment.
The schedule of activities is as follows:

Monday 4/18: 11am–5pm – Kick off
Campus awareness – sustainable initiatives and green programs, tree planting at 12:30, electronics recycling, exhibitor booths including GoGreen mopeds, and a movie in the Den.

(Tuesday 4/19 – Campus Development Day – no classes or festivities)

Wednesday 4/20:  11am-5pm - Renewable Energy Expo and Solarbration
Learn about new technologies such as wind, water and solar.  Visit exhibitors, info booths, trailer demos, and more! Grab a solar baked cookie or popcorn and listen to live music from 11-1 at the West entrance.

Thursday 4/21:  11am-1pm - Green Career Fair
Learn about the many options available in the renewable energy, sustainable building, water treatment and other industries!  Several local companies will be on site to share their opportunities.

Friday 4/22:  11am-1pm – Official Earth Day – Campus Clean up
Join us as we walk the grounds and watershed; help us clean up our environment.
