RRCC Recognizes Outstanding Students and Faculty at Commencement 2013
LAKEWOOD, CO –Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) presented nearly 1,200 degrees and certificates at the college’s 43rd annual commencement ceremony at the Lakewood campus on Saturday, May 18. RRCC granted Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, Associate of Applied Science, and Associate of General Studies degrees, plus certificates in hundreds of fields from Accounting to Water Quality.
The ceremony began with a processional lead by Ciorcal Cairde Irish Pipes and Drums and posting of colors by local Boy Scouts of America Troop 484. Opening remarks were delivered by Kathy Hodgson, Lakewood City Manager and RRCC Advisory Council member, followed by a welcome by RRCC President Dr. Michele Haney. Dr. John Trefny, State Board member and RRCC Foundation Board member, also delivered remarks to the graduates and guests.
