Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for RRCC Options

Do I have to register for Options classes by the first day of the semester?

No. You can register for Options classes throughout the semester, as long as you register before the first day of classes. For example, if you are taking a Weekend College class that begins October 12, you have to register before that date.

Do I have to drop my Options classes by the drop date printed in the schedule?

No. The drop date for Accelerated and Weekend College classes is printed on your personal schedule. Your instructor should also have information on the last day to drop and still receive a refund. Traditional 15 week classes under Online, Hybrid, Telecourses, Learning Options, and CCCOnline will have the same drop date as is printed in the schedule.

How do I register for Options classes?

You register for Options classes just like you would for any course at Red Rocks Community College. The first step is to complete an Application. Once your application is accepted, meet with an advisor in-person or online. You may be required to take an assessment test. After you determine your schedule you can register in-person, online, or using our STAR system on the telephone. For more information go to: http://www.rrcc.edu/admissions.

How do I get my books for Options classes?

All of the Options classes are listed in the Red Rocks Community College bookstore. Bring your schedule to the bookstore and they will be able to help you find your book.
