Fulfilling the PA Program Mission
The RRCC PA Program has received a $400,000 HRSA grant to expand the program and focus on placing primary care PAs in rural areas. Two students enrolling in August 2011 will receive scholarships covering all tuition and fees while they are in the PA program.
This grant is just the beginning. The RRCC PA program has partnered with three significant Colorado organizations to collaborate on increasing access to primary healthcare all over Colorado.

ARC-PA Site Visit in September
Program faculty are preparing for our next accreditation visit which will be September 29-30, 2011. The Self Study Report is being prepared to show how the Program meets all required ARC-PA standards .

Julie Himstedt PA-C Julie Himstedt PA-C, has been with Arapahoe Peak Family Medicine and Urgent Care in Evergreen, CO since September 2009. “My favorite thing about this practice is the amazing co-workers I have. The providers are extremely supportive of each other and always willing to help each other.” Julie has been taking junior RRCC PA students for CLEs(clinical learning experiences) for the last year. She is a 2008 graduate of the RRCC program. |
Hector Lopez Frisbie, PA-C
Hector Lopez Frisbie, PA-C, class of 2010, is doing a one-hour radio spot on Health on radio 1150AM every Monday and 1:00pm. He has a five-year history of doing radio and television in Mexico. |
