Buntport Theater Company
Buntport Theater Company has been creating work collaboratively from inception to production for more than 10 years. Together they have produced 30 full-length plays, 100 episodes of a live sit-com, 5 seasons of an episodic children's show and countless one-time events. They believe passionately in the importance of debuting new works (both innovative adaptations and all-new pieces) and in the importance of focusing many eyes on any given project. Collaboration on every aspect of their organization has proven to be an exciting and effective model.
Lori Conary
Lori enjoys her role as Submissions Editor at Pioneer Drama Service, where she has reviewed hundreds of plays for possible publication during the past nine years. She loves reading new scripts, finding gems and subsequently contracting them for publication. Lori is a native of Denver, Colorado where she currently resides with her family.
Steve Fendrich
Steve has been the Publisher of Pioneer Drama Service for over 25 years and during this time has published hundreds of plays and musicals by dozens of playwrights which have been performed worldwide. He is passionate about promoting the art of drama and is also a published playwright who has always been involved with many varied aspects of theatre. As a publisher his goal is to offer quality scripts appropriate to Pioneer Drama’s educational and amateur group market, such as schools, colleges, churches, children’s theatres and community theatres.
Chad Henry
Chad Henry is Literary Associate in Denver Center Theatre Company’s New Play Development wing. He is an active member of Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America, and takes a special interest in new play development. Prior to coming to Denver he worked as Literary Associate at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. He has participated in the development of such DCTC productions as 1001, Jesus Hates Me, and Lydia. He is a Seattle native, and has written numerous productions for Seattle Children’s Theatre, The Children’s Theatre of Minneapolis, Manhattan Children’s Theatre, and many others. He is a published novelist and playwright, and an internationally produced playwright, lyricist and composer, best known for his rock musical, Angry Housewives.
Pamela Jamruszka Mencher
Pamela is the founder and Chair of RRCC’s Theatre Arts and Dance department; and teaches playwriting, acting, technical theatre and production. Her plays have been produced in Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Alaska. She is also the recipient of numerous awards honoring her teaching and professional theatre careers.
Gene Kato
Gene is the Founding Publications Director of Next Stage Press, a play publishing company that specializes in scripts that have not received NYC productions. Having been a playwright for over 25 years, Gene has had plays produced in several cities across the U.S. His play “18 Holes” was the recipient of the 2007 Best Play award from the Rocky Mountain Theatre Association and received a production at the Aurora Fox in 2008. Having lived in Denver since 2000, Gene is heading back to his hometown of Houston once the boot camp wraps.
Kate Marie Roselle
Kate Marie Roselle is the Associate Artistic Director at Curious Theatre Company in Denver, CO. She holds a BA in theatre, magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis and is the former Director of Education at New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS. A director and arts educator, Roselle has worked extensively in Colorado, Illinois, Mississippi and Missouri.
Michael Stricker
Mr. Stricker is a Paragon Theatre co-founder, ensemble member, and Executive Director. Paragon credits include directing A Moon for the Misbegotten, the world premier of (W)hole, and the Henry Award-winning Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Paragon acting credits include Long Day's Journey Into Night, The Mercy Seat, A Tuna Christmas, Mojo, Vieux Carre, Look Back in Anger, and The Night Heron. Mr. Stricker has received several acting nominations from The Denver Post, Boulder Daily Camera and the Colorado Theatre Guild's Henry Awards, and received Best Actor nods from Colorado Backstage and Outfront Magazine. He has acted on professional and non-professional stages in Colorado and Illinois, worked in film, commercials and industrials, and is represented by Radical Talent in Denver. Mr. Stricker attended the University of Northern Colorado, chaired by Thomas McNally, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre. He has also worked in Chicago and completed a one-on-one master acting class with Tony Award winner, Rondi Reed at Steppenwolf Theatre. Mr. Stricker is currently the Director of the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation and Cultural Programs Supervisor for the City of Northglenn.
Penny Walrath Cole
An experienced director, Penny Walrath Cole has focused on staging readings of new work and collaborations with playwrights the past 7 years. She is active in the Playwriting Symposium of the Mid America Theatre Conference, and worked with the Playwrights Showcase of the Western Region in 2007 and 2009.

Edith Weiss An actor, director, and stand-up comic, Edith brings all the skills of these crafts to playwriting. Author of over 20 youth and community theater plays, she is published with Dramatics, Pioneer Drama Service, Eldridge and Brooklyn Publishers. Her adult plays have been produced in theaters and competitions in Boston, Kansas City, Chicago, Lancaster Pa., Albuquerque and Denver. She is head writer and director of Phamaly’s (Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artists League) award-winning Vox Phamalia Series. |
