The Red Rocks Police Department has developed a Police Internship Program.  This program allows the police officer to use this police department as a stepping stone for the officer’s chosen police department or sheriff’s office.  Most RRPD Officers have employment longevity of six months to 18 months before employment with another agency.

The police applicant must be Colorado P.O.S.T. certified, pass a psychological test, and a background investigations. The preferred applicant has just graduated from a local police academy and posses strong communications skills.

The Police Department hires student hourly workers as Security Guards for the weekend coverage and student communications technicians.
