OSHA 501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety & Health Standard
for the General Industry

(Prerequisite: The completion of OSHA 511 and a minimum of five years experience in
general industry safety.) This course is designed to present detailed information on
how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the workplace. Rights and
responsibilities under the OSH Act, the appeals process, and record keeping are
covered. OSHA's general industry standards and an overview of the requirements of
the most frequently referenced standards will also be addressed. Upon successful
completion of this course, graduates are authorized to conduct both a 10-hour and 30-
hour Voluntary Compliance course and to issue cards to participants certifying course
completion. 2.5 CEUs; 4.0 CMs
