Specialist Certificate Program

The Rocky Mountain Education Center is offering its clientele the opportunity to receive a specialist certificate in the areas of: Environmental Health and Safety or Occupational Safety and Health for either Construction or General Industry.

Certificate requirements are listed below:

Environmental Specialist

  • RMEC 313 - 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • OSHA 2015 - Hazardous Materials
  • OSHA 521 - OSHA Guide to Industrial Hygiene
  • CETC 155 - Introduction to Environmental Law
  • CETC 156 - Successful Environmental Management
  • RMEC 318 - Supervisor Safety Course

Safety and Health Specialist

  • OSHA 501 - Trainer Course for General Industry
  • OSHA 3095 - Electrical Standards
  • OSHA 2250- Principles of Ergonomics
  • OSHA 2045 - Machinery and Machine Guarding Standards
  • RMEC 318 - Supervisors Safety Course
  • RMEC 380 - Safety Programs

Construction Safety & Health Specialist

  • OSHA 500 - Trainer Course for Construction
  • OSHA 3095 - Electrical Standards
  • OSHA 3010 - Excavation, Trenching and Soil Mechanics
  • OSHA 3110 - Fall Arrest Systems
  • RMEC 326 - Trainer Course in Scaffolding
  • RMEC 318 - Supervisor Safety Course
