Colorado First Grant How it Works

  1. Company requests information.
  2. Company meets with representatives from OED, CCCOES, and the local community college or area vocational school.
  3. OED and CCCOES determine/assess needs. The company determines its goals and objectives to be accomplished with the assistance of Colorado FIRST grants.
  4. OED reviews financials. Community college or area vocational school meets with company to develop training plan.
  5. OED and CCCOES commit to company; community college or area vocational school is notified of approval/funding eligibility.

STEPS 1-5 TAKE APPROXIMATELY SIX WEEKS.

Company begins training.

Community college or area vocational school monitors the training site.

Community college or area vocational school prepares final report in cooperation with the company.

CCCOES monitors the training program with grant administrator, and OED monitors the effectiveness of the training program by comparing results with goals and objectives.
