TV, Video, Movies & Computer Game Policy
RRCC SACC allows children to enjoy a movie or television program once a month. The television program must have either a general rating or a family viewing rating. Before children will be allowed to watch the program, written parent/guardian permission must be given on the site permission form.
When a site is going to the movies or is viewing a video, the rating must be either G or PG. Again, written parent/guardian permission is needed in order for the child to partake in the activity.
Video games are welcomed on special days. Games may not depict violence or the use of weapons. If it is noticed that the video game is violent or has weapons, the child will be asked to put the game away immediately.
As always, if your child does not wish to partake in an activity, the child or parent has the right to notify staff and the child may participate in other activities. If you have any further question regarding TV, Video, Movie or Computer Game policies, please talk to YOUR Site Manager.
Melody Makers: The RRCC SACC program encourages children to enjoy our music centers. Children may bring their own tapes or CD, however the tape or CD must be accompanied with written lyrics to the music. Music containing derogatory comments or foul language will be turned off immediately and asked to be put away.
A Walkman is acceptable and can be used while a child is doing homework or simply relaxing. Although the walkman is a personal music listening device, children’s music selection and volume level will be monitored by staff.
CDs are fragile and easily scratched, that is why it is not recommended for children to allow others to use their music. If CDs are damaged, RRCC SACC is not responsible. Please instruct your child to be mindful of the risk of damage.
