Associate of Arts Speech & Communication

The field of Speech and Communication helps one to develop oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and teamwork are some of the concepts addressed. This program provides basic preparation leading to communication related careers in
organizations and corporations dealing with education, business, public service, tourism, journalism, public relations, politics, broadcasting and sales.

Completion of the following courses is intended to be appropriate for those who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a major in Communication.

The student is encouraged to consult with a faculty advisor prior to beginning any program of study.
