Questions about the OWC
Do you have to be a RRCC student to use the Online Writing Center (OWC)?
No, you do not need to be a RRCC student to use the OWC's services. The OWC is open to RRCC students, faculty, staff, community members, and people interested in improving their writing. RRCC students will receive priority.
Who will read my paper?
All tutors with the Online Writing Center are qualified English instructors at Red Rocks Community College.

Will tutors proofread my paper?
Tutors will not proofread your paper (e.g. find and correct all the mistakes). Tutors will, however, teach you how to find and correct mistakes. Our goal is to help you become your own editor.
Will tutors read papers I have written for other classes?
Yes. Tutors read papers for classes other than English.
How long will it take to get my paper back?
You will get your paper back within 48 hours.
Can I meet with a tutor in person?
Yes, you can meet with a tutor in person. Red Rocks has a Writing Center located in the Learning and Resource Center (LARC) on the Lakewood campus. For more information, go to Writing Center info.
