Watch a video overview from President Haney and Tim Griffin here.

What are we doing to get ready for our Comprehensive Evaluation Visit in November 2018?

Fall 2017

  1. Develop Learning Assessment and Co-Curriculum Committees.
  2. Develop the ILEARN process throughout the college.
  3. “Close the loop” between strategic planning and budgeting.
  4. Conduct Open Forums and other communication to educate RRCC about Accreditation and the upcoming visit.
  5. Collect External Stakeholder needs data from various advisory councils and boards.
  6. Centralize Student Needs Data for review and action.

Spring 2018

  1. Conduct a mock visit to review questions that the CQR Team will address.
  2. Compile ILEARN and General Education Assessment Results that will allow us to improve student success and institutional effectiveness.
  3. Complete a draft of the Federal Compliance Report by June 2018.
  4. Complete a draft of the Quality Highlights Report by June 2018.
  5. Compile climate data and other data for priority setting.
  6. Better align governance committees with RRCC Mission and Values to show how governance groups support the Strategic Plan.
  7. Send a team to the HLC Strategy Forum, HLC Annual Meeting, and other meetings.

Fall 2018

  1. Send HLC the Federal Compliance Report 8 weeks before the CQR visit.
  2. Send HLC the Quality Highlights Report 8 weeks before the CQR visit.
  3. Administer Student Opinion Survey in September 2018.
  4. Collect Third Party comments from external constituencies and send them to HLC no later than October 12, 2018 (four weeks before the start of the visit).
  5. Share and review HLC reports and evaluation questions with the college.

What happens after our Comprehensive Evaluation Visit in November 2018?

The visiting HLC Team will write a summary report.  They will indicate:

  • Whether RRCC should be granted continuing accreditation;
  • Any requirements we must fulfill to receive reaffirmation of accreditation;
  • Whether we have shown sufficient commitment to the AQIP Pathway to continue to be accredited through AQIP.

If we successfully obtain reaffirmation in the AQIP pathway, the eight-year AQIP cycle begins again. Our next CQR visit will be in 2026.
