Red Rocks Community College Foundation Elects Two New Members

Lakewood, CO--The Red Rocks Community College Foundation welcomes Doris Stipech and John Sullivan to their Board of Directors.  The Red Rocks Community College Foundation strives to diversify the expertise of its membership as it works to support the vision and mission of Red Rocks Community College.

“We are so fortunate to have John Sullivan and Doris Stipech among our group of advisors as they bring diverse perspectives from across professional sectors and both have a strong commitment to education and community,” said Ron Slinger, Executive Director.  “I look forward to working with them both.”

Doris Stipech is an insurance agent with State Farm based in Arvada, Colorado and is an active member of the business community.  She has served on several boards including Habitat for Humanity, Center for Work, Education and Employment, and is a recent past-president of the Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis. 

John Sullivan is a Federal Business Development Manager at Hewlett Packard.  He currently serves as a member of the Arvada Planning Commission and has previously served as an advisor to the Jefferson County School Board and on various committees in the City of Arvada.  

The Red Rocks Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting the students, faculty, and staff at the college in their pursuit of excellence. The Red Rocks Community College Foundation was established in 1993 with the vision of helping students of all income levels have access to higher education. Since its inception, the Foundation has given more than $3.5 million dollars in scholarships to RRCC students and $3 million for other RRCC programs. The Foundation also provides mini-grants to faculty and staff, awards for outstanding faculty, and support for other worthwhile initiatives.
