Red Rocks Community College Foundation Announces Arvada Elks Lodge Community Scholarship

LAKEWOOD, CO - The Red Rocks Community College Foundation announces, in partnership with the Arvada Elks Lodge 2278, the Arvada Elks Lodge Community Scholarship. The Red Rocks Community College Foundation strives to work in concert with community interests to support the students of Red Rocks Community College.

“We’ve been blessed to work with the Arvada Elks on this great scholarship,” said Ron Slinger, Executive Director.

The Arvada Elks Lodge Community Scholarship provides financial support to Colorado residents who are seeking their first degree. Scholarships are awarded to students who graduated from Arvada high schools, are Arvada residents who have accomplished a GED, or are the children or grandchildren of Arvada Elks Lodge members.

The Arvada B.P.O. Elks Lodge # 2278 was chartered on March 31, with a current membership of over 1100 members. The Lodge is located one block west of Wadsworth in Olde Town Arvada. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet need, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

The Red Rocks Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting the students, faculty, and staff at the college in their pursuit of excellence. The Foundation was established in 1993 with the vision of helping students of all income levels have access to higher education. Since its inception, the Foundation has given more than $3.5 million dollars in scholarships to RRCC students and $3 million for other RRCC programs. The Foundation also provides mini-grants to faculty and staff, awards for outstanding faculty, and support for other worthwhile initiatives.
