Welcome to the English and Literature Department of Red Rocks Community College.
Our department offers courses leading to an Associate of Arts. The Associate of Arts in English provides the first two years of course work towards a Bachelor of Arts degree. For those of you who do not plan to major in English, emphasis in this area provides an excellent, general liberal arts background for many professions, such as teaching, writing, community service, law, and research.
We offer a variety of excellent course offerings including day, night, and weekend classes with hybrid, self-study, and online options. If you are planning the first two years of your college experience at Red Rocks, you will be pleased to know our core courses transfer to Colorado state colleges and universities. For a listing of our classes, as well as a complete list of all Red Rocks classes, please visit our class schedule.
The English and Literature department is located at the Lakewood campus, 1st floor, Room 1509. We are open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
