How to Apply for the Law Enforcement Academy (LEA)

If you are interested in attending the Law Enforcement Academy, starting this upcoming Fall or Spring, please apply now. Seating is limited and the process will close when we reach capacity. 

Please note: The Law Enforcement academy requires that all applicants are required to be 21 years old or older.

To apply to the Law Enforcement Academy as agency sponsored, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact Wendy Lubin, Dean of Academic Affairs ( to reserve a seat in the Academy 
  2. Have your applicant fill out the Application Information Form - (Applicant Info Form)
  3. Have your applicant complete the Agency Sponsored Application Process in its entirety (excluding the background check if your agency has already conducted one) - (Application Process Instructions)
  4. Lastly will also need a letter from a hiring or commanding officer stating the applicants sponsorship. 
  5. Upon acceptance, other required forms will be sent to the applicant.
