RRCC Fine Woodworking Program Hosts Its Spring Exhibition May 12th
LAKEWOOD, CO - The Red Rocks Community College Fine Woodworking Program invites the community to its Spring Exhibition on May 12th from noon to 4 pm at RRCC’s Lakewood Campus. The Lakewood Campus is located at 13300 West 6th Avenue and the exhibition will be in room 2829 on the west side of campus.
Students will display works they created during the spring semester (January through May 2018) in the Wood Shop where they were created. Works include fine furniture, restored furniture, electric and acoustic guitars, violins, custom doors, turned works, inlay, marquetry, CNC works, and examples of advanced finishing techniques.
The day's festivities will include live music on instruments made by students, demonstrations by instructors, pine car derby races, and culminate with an awards show. The Red Rocks Community College Fine Woodworking Program offers a wide variety of courses in the wood arts. Highly skilled and experienced professional woodworkers teach courses to students who represent a broad diversity of backgrounds and age groups. The program holds an exhibition at the end of each semester to highlight students' projects.
