RRCC President Search

Red Rocks Community College President Search

President Michele Haney has announced her retirement on December 31, 2023. The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) Chancellor, Joe Garcia, has initiated a nationwide search for the next RRCC President.

CCCS will conduct a thorough search process to identify the best leader for RRCC. This effort will be led by Christina Cecil, CCCS Chief Human Resources Officer. A Search Advisory Committee of RRCC stakeholders has been formed to assist in the selection process.

To fully define the qualifications and characteristics needed in the next president, RRCC faculty, staff, students and stakeholders were invited to provide input. Feedback was used to create a comprehensive position profile. The RRCC position profile will serve as a guiding document during the candidate selection process.

Recruitment is underway. We invite you to submit applications using the link on this page. Complete applications include a current resume or curriculum vitae and a cover letter (not to exceed 5 pages) addressing the strengths, opportunities and qualifications detailed in the position profile. Applications received by September 22 will receive full consideration. We are also accepting nominations through this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RRCCNomination. The strongest candidates from the pool will be identified as finalists and invited to meet with the RRCC faculty, staff, students and stakeholders in November. Our expectation is that a final selection will be announced in December 2023, prior to the close of the fall semester.

We know you are excited about this process and what is to come. The RRCC community will be updated through this webpage where appropriate details about this search will be shared publicly. Please understand it is important for us to adhere to a process where our candidates can rely on the discretion of those involved in the search process and our guarantee of confidentiality.
