The Water Quality Management Technology department introduces students to all areas of water quality management careers through the Associate's of Applied Science (AAS) and the Bachelor's of Applied Science (BAS) degrees.  Students prepare for a career in the water industry to protect public health and the environment.

Teaching to National Standards

This is the only institution in Colorado which teaches all of the Need-To-Know criteria developed by the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC), a national organization that provides testing for professional certification in Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution, and Wastewater Collection and Treatment. ABC has identified 592 Need-To-Know criteria in 25 categories that operators in these fields need to be proficient in and are tested on for state certification.
