Welcome to the Department of Outdoor/Physical Education at Red Rocks Community College
Red Rocks Community College offers an associate of arts degree with an emphasis in outdoor physical education for students who wish to continue their education in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in outdoor physical education or to enter the Teacher Licensure Program for students majoring in physical education.
Our students learn, practice, develop and use safe, environmentally sound outdoor skills. They acquire increased self-responsibility, discipline, active leadership and increased understanding and stewardship of the natural world. By encouraging a healthy active lifestyle, outdoor physical education improves quality of life, which in turn motivates students to experience life more fully and more confidently.
