Group Fitness

Group Fitness at the Student Recreation Center offers a wide variety of instructor-led classes designed to motivate and challenge participants of all fitness levels. Classes are held throughout the week during the Fall and Spring Semesters and are included with a student cost. Faculty and staff can also access classes through a paid membership.

From high-energy formats like cycling, HIIT, and Zumba fitness to more restorative options such as yoga, barre, and Pilates, there’s something for everyone. Certified instructors create a welcoming and inclusive environment, offering modifications and support to ensure every participant feels comfortable and confident.

All equipment needed for classes—such as mats, weights, and resistance bands—is provided. No prior registration is required; participants can simply check the weekly schedule, show up early to secure a spot, and enjoy a fun, social, and effective workout. Special fitness events and themed classes are also hosted throughout the semester to keep things fresh and engaging.

Personal Training

Personal Training at the Student Recreation Center offers individualized fitness support tailored to help you reach your specific health and wellness goals. Our nationally certified student personal trainers provide one-on-one sessions focused on building strength, improving endurance, increasing mobility, and developing sustainable fitness habits—whether you're new to exercise or looking to break through a plateau.

Training packages are available for purchase at affordable student rates, with additional pricing options for faculty and staff members. All new clients begin with a complimentary consultation to assess goals, fitness history, and any health considerations before beginning a customized training plan.

Sessions are scheduled based on your availability and trainer match, and can include instruction in proper technique, personalized workouts, progress tracking, and ongoing motivation. For those who prefer to train with a friend, partner sessions are also available. No matter your starting point, our personal training program is designed to support a safe, effective, and empowering fitness journey.

*Buddy Sessions are minimum 2 people, maximum 3.

SRC members receive one complimentary training session with their membership. This is a one time offer where members can learn about basic exercises and set up a plan for future training. To claim your session click here.

Personal Training Program Offerings

- Complimentary Session: All SRC members receive 1 complimentary personal training session with their membership. Members will meet with a trainer to go over basic exercises and discuss a future workout plan.

- One-On-One Training Session(s): Members may purchase as many 1-hour fitness/training sessions with a personal trainer as they would like and can be used at any time (sessions expire after 1 year from purchase date). 

- Starter Fitness Package: The Starter Fitness Package is an excellent package for new & continuing clients. The package includes 6 sessions (sessions expire after 1 year from purchase date)

- Ultimate Fitness Package: This Ultimate Fitness Package adopts the behavioral change model and is the ultimate “bang for your buck”! This package includes 14 sessions (sessions expire after 1 year from purchase date).

- Buddy Session Packages: Buddy sessions allow for a member and their “buddy” to go through a personal training session/package together! Buddy sessions are great for training with a workout partner or group. Prices listed are per person. Buddy sessions can include 2-3 SRC members.

R&R Lounge

The Rest & Relaxation Lounge at the Student Recreation Center is a peaceful space designed to help students recharge, reset, and manage stress in a calm, welcoming environment. Open during operating Student Recreation Center facility hours, the lounge offers a variety of wellness tools and resources to support mental and physical well-being.

Features include comfortable reclining chairs and beds, soft lighting, restorative therapy blankets, aroma therapy and access to meditation cushions. The space is technology-free and encourages quiet reflection, mindfulness, or a brief rest between classes and activities.

Open to all students with a valid Student Recreation Center membership, the Rest & Relaxation Lounge is the perfect place to slow down, breathe deeply, and take intentional time for yourself.
