Meet Natalie"I have been attending Red Rocks since Spring 2010 and will graduate in Spring 2013 with an Associate of Science degree. My two years here has changed and taught me more about myself and what I am capable of. With hard work and determination, your dreams of a higher education are possible, especially with the tools Red Rocks has to offer students; which include great advisors, the writing center, and tutors in the Learning Commons.
Two years ago I started with no idea of how to be a student again. I was a single mother who worked nights as a server and knew that a solid education would benefit not only my life but my son's as well. I went from being a student tutored in the Learning Commons to being a tutor for microbiology and eventually a Phi Theta Kappa member.
The resources at Red Rocks helped me achieve a high G.P.A. and even helped me earn two scholarships. In addition to my academic achievements, I am a great role model to my son. I plan to leave this school full of hope, wisdom, and knowledge. I am now a more well rounded person academically, personally, and professionally with plans to continue my education and one day become a nurse.."
