About the Book:

In this gripping memoir of transformation, David Carrillo delivers a raw, unflinching account of one man's journey against the gravitational pull of a system designed to consume him. This is not merely a prison memoir or recovery story—it’s a deeply moving exploration of what it means to protect others, to find purpose through service, and to rebuild a life worthy of the second chance so hard-won.
