The Rocky Mountain Education Center invites everyone in the community to stay curious and enrich their personal and professional lives through opportunities for intellectual development, cultural stimulation, and social interaction. For more than a decade, RMEC has brought the empowering force of education to state prisons, reshaping the futures of more than 10,000 formerly and currently incarcerated Coloradans. We provide transferable courses and applicable workforce training, support career development and reentry, and have employed numerous formerly incarcerated students who now enrich our team. Our flagship programs include the comprehensive DREAM Initiative reentry program and the Adult Basic Education program, which has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education as the statewide standard.
