Each phase builds on the last to ensure the launch of an actionable plan in Spring 2026.
Before setting new goals, we’re taking the time to listen and closely examine RRCC's current state.
Through document review, surveys, focus groups, and community conversations, we are gathering information to answer these key questions:
- What our community needs most from RRCC — and how we can deliver it.
- What educational and workforce priorities matter most to students, employers, and partners.
- What RRCC is already doing well and where there’s room to grow.
As part of the planning process, RRCC and our consulting team are reviewing a wide range of data and documents to understand where we are today and how we compare to local, state, and national trends. The analysis includes:
- RRCC internal documents and data – including the 2019–2025 Strategic Plan, Facilities Master Plan, renewed Mission, Vision and Values, enrollment and outcomes data from recent years.
- Feedback from our community – results from recent student and staff surveys, alumni data, program assessments.
- State and system priorities – strategic plans from the Colorado Community College System, Colorado Department of Higher Education, Jefferson County Public Schools, other key partners.
- External research and best practices – such as state workforce and demographic projections, and examples of innovative community college models nationwide.
Through this analysis, we will ensure the 2026-30 Strategic Plan is grounded in evidence and aligned with the evolving needs of our students, employers, and communities.
In addition to reviewing existing data and plans, we’re gathering new input from across the RRCC community to ensure all voices are a part of shaping the path forward.
Student and partner surveys – to understand experiences, needs, and priorities.
Focus groups – with students.
Community Conversations – seven events across RRCC’s footprint to connect directly with local stakeholders.
Planning workshops – engaging the Collaboration Council, student representatives, and community partners to turn input into action.
The input of RRCC students, faculty, staff, partners, and the community is essential to the strategic planning process. Here’s how you can offer your input.
Surveys
- The Student Survey is for current RRCC students (the student survey is now closed).
