The RRCC Learning Commons & Tutoring department recognize that racial inequities not only exist in our society, but that they are detrimental to us all and must be eliminated. We embrace the antiracist philosophy that all racial groups are equal in all of their apparent differences, and we support antiracist policies and practices that produce and sustain racial equity.


The Learning Commons will be OPEN , starting on Tuesday, June 1st (Monday thru Thursday:  9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).


Safety of our students and employees is our highest priority. Accordingly, please review the following information regarding the Learning Commons and tutoring services for the upcoming semester:

  • Face-to-Face and Virtual one-on-one tutoring with an RRCC tutor in certain subjects, beginning June 1st.  Face-to-Face appointments will take place in the Learning Commons.  On how to attend virtual appointments, see our tutoring page and below for more information.  ALL appointments, Face-to-Face and Virtual, will be made via Navigate.
  • Online, Drop-In Tutoring with an RRCC tutor for Accounting and Math.  Information on how to access will be available from the department, your instructor/professor or Learning Commons Staff (Email:  RRCC.LARCHelpDesk@rrcc.edu(link sends e-mail); Phone Number: (303) 914-6705).

RRCC Tutoring department remains committed to supporting students with their coursework and academic pursuits. Tutoring services will be available to RRCC students in multiple formats:

Face-to-Face and Virtual Tutoring by Appointment:

Appointment-based tutoring with RRCC tutors will be offered on a very limited basis, during the Summer semester. Appointments will be available Monday thru Thursday only, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and can be made through the Navigate student portal for the following subjects:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Math
  • Physics
  • Water Quality Management (WQM)

To make a Navigate appointment:

  1. Login to The Rock (link is external)(link is external) student portal.
  2. Select the “Navigate” icon under “Student Tools”
  3. Select “Appointments” in the left-hand column
  4. Click on “Schedule an Appointment”
  5. Select "Tutoring" in the "Department" drop-down list
  6. Select the "Subject" that you are seeking tutoring assistance for in the "Service" drop-down list
  7. Select and "Appointment day and time" in the "Pick a Date" drop-down listdrop-down list
  8. Students will receive an appointment confirmation as well as a day-of reminder email containing the link to their virtual session.

*If you need to cancel your tutoring appointment for any reason, please do so, in advance, using the Navigate student portal through which you originally scheduled your session. Students with repeated “no-shows” and who fail to provide advance cancellation notice may lose access to virtual tutoring services

Online, Drop-In Tutoring:

Online, Drop-In tutoring with RRCC tutors will be offered on a limited basis during the Summer semester for Accounting and Math.  Information on how to access it will be available from the department, your instructor/professor or Learning Commons Staff (Email:  RRCC.LARCHelpDesk@rrcc.eduPhone Number: (303) 914-6705).

Online Writing Center:

Writing tutoring is available through our Online Writing Center. Students can submit their papers to be reviewed by a tutor, with a 36-hour response/turnaround from the time of the appointment.  Click Here to get started.

Communications Lab:

ALL SUMMER 2021 Tutoring will be VIRTUAL USING WEBEX and can be accessed by Clicking Here (link is external).

Online Tutoring (TutorMe):

RRCC is now offering 24/7 online tutoring, through TutorMe. Students can work with a live tutor and receive help with homework assignments and other coursework, in a variety of academic subjects. This service allows students to meet with a qualified tutor using audio/video conferencing, text chat, screen sharing, document upload, and a shared whiteboard space. Students can also review recordings of their sessions, afterwards, in order to assist with their learning process. Click Here for instructions to get started.
