RRCC to Produce Free Shows This Summer

LAKEWOOD, CO - The Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) Theatre Arts and Dance Department will present a full summer of productions that will be free and open to the public.

OUR VOICES Playwriting Festival - June 23-25. This festival features a full three days of workshops, networking opportunities, writing, and four performances open to the public--June 23 @ 7 pm; June 24 @3 pm @7 pm; June 25 open mic @ 3 pm. Featured professional playwrights: Ellen K. Graham, William Missouri Downs, Leonard Madrid, Nick Malakhow, Colette Mazunik, Jeffrey Neuman, and Rebecca Gorman O’Neill. Full access to the festival is $60. All performances are free and open to the public.

MOSQUITOES by Lucy Kirkwood. This is a one-night performance featuring student director Ren Patton - June 30 @ 7 pm. MOSQUITOES is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com).

AUTO PLAY NEXT LEVEL. Colette and Evan Mazunik will be presenting a unique live storytelling experience. Think live theatre with a built-in music score! July 7 @ 7 pm.

THE TEMPEST. RRCC Theatre Arts and Dance will present this Shakespeare favorite in collaboration with North Dakota Shakespeare Festival July 20-23. Performances will be outside at the RRCC Pavilion at 7 pm on July 20-22 and 2 pm and 7 pm on July 23. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy Shakespeare in the open air.

Red Rocks Community College has the only fully developed two-year Theatre Arts program in performance, production, and theatre technology in Colorado.
