Leadership and Partners

FOUNDED ON COMMUNITY

BILL JOHNSON, DUANE YOUSE, and DIANE HEGEMAN founded Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth (AWRSAY) in 2001, with a forward looking vision for the youth of Arvada and Wheat Ridge. The saying goes that “to raise a child it takes a village” and these three took the adage to heart. AWRSAY builds on the community spirit and active engagement of service clubs, local leadership, and local businesses to ensure that our area youth grow up knowing that their community members and leaders value and respect them as the future mentors and leaders of our world.
