Warren Tech Student
Warren Tech is the career and technical high school for Jeffco Public Schools. Classes follow the Warren Tech/Jeffco Public Schools calendar. Deadlines and class start and end dates differ from those of RRCC. Anyone who has graduated from high school, received a GED, or is age 21 or older may attend Warren Tech by enrolling through Red Rocks Community College and paying RRCC tuition. Adults attend Warren Tech on a space-available basis. You must apply to both Warren Tech and RRCC. The Welding and Auto Tech program are not available to Adult Students.
Warren Tech classes are conducted on a block schedule - usually for 15 hours per week.

STEP 1: Apply to RRCC
- Get started by completing the free online application. Use the Create Account option on the Welcome page and continue to complete the full application.
STEP 2: Complete Orientation

Online: Learn at your own pace by completing the Online Student Orientation! Follow the steps below for instructions on how to access the Orientation:
- Log on to The Rock with your S#
- Your temporary password is Student followed by your date of birth: StudentMMDDYYYY
- Click on the “Student” tab on the left-hand side
- Click on “Orientation”

STEP 3: Complete academic testing requirements. Choose the option right for you.
- You can find out which assessment(s) you’ll need to take by filling out a questionnaire here. You may need to submit additional documentation or take the Accuplacer Test.
Step 4: Apply to Warren Tech-application will open December 2024 for Fall 2025 Enrollment.

You will need to include academic testing requirement scores on the application. Click here for instructions on how to retrieve your test and placement results.
*Warren Tech Applications are accepted starting in December and placed on a waitlist once received. Priority application deadline is February 18, 2024.
Step 5: Wait to be notified of acceptance to Warren Tech. Warren Tech will send an acceptance letter to your email account, and RRCC will email your course list with registration instructions.
Step 6: If you are pursing the AAS degree and will need to take general education classes, you can meet with your Pathway Advisor.

Step 7: Activate your student email account in The Rock
- Your student email address will end in @student.cccs.edu. You will be issued a student email address after you register for classes.
STEP 8: Paying for College
- To apply for financial aid, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) EACH YEAR at www.fafsa.gov(link is external). Learn more about financial aid.
- Complete the College Opportunity Fund (COF) which saves $116 per credit for students classified as Colorado residents for tuition purposes.
- Apply for Scholarships.
- Check out Payment Plans and Payment Deadlines to avoid late fees.
STEP 9: Get your RRCC student ID card if you are taking general education classes on the Lakewood or Arvada campus (if all of your general education courses are online, you will not be issued a student ID card)
- Get your student ID from the Student Life offices at both the Lakewood and Arvada Campuses: Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Appointments are encouraged and walk-ins may be accommodated. For evening hours, please make an appointment request through Navigate.
