What got me interested in the IDEA Lab: I was given an opportunity to work at the lab by the recommendation of a professor for my coursework in the Intro to Engineering Design class. I really liked the problem-solving aspect of this class, and it led to my desire to pursue engineering as a career. The lab harbored many engineering resources – such as 3D printing and Arduino – that immediately captured my attention. More creative projects like the aquaponic fish tank and the moss wall gave me a deep impression of the lab. This inspiring environment filled with motivated individuals led to my interest and stay in the amazing place we call the IDEA Lab.
